1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use coinpost. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including for counterfeit-item strikes, repeated cancellations, or fraudulent activity.

3. What coinpost Is

coinpost is a marketplace that lets sellers list coins, banknotes, tokens, and medals for sale to other users, either at a fixed price ("Buy Now") or by auction. coinpost is not the seller, buyer, or owner of any listed item, and we are not a party to the transaction between a buyer and a seller. We don't inspect, grade, authenticate, or guarantee the condition, authenticity, or value of any item listed on the Service.

4. Listings

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including title, description, category, condition, photos, and price. Listings must not include counterfeit, stolen, prohibited, or misrepresented items. We may remove any listing, at our discretion, that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Auctions & Offers

Bids placed on auction listings are binding offers to purchase and cannot be retracted. The highest qualifying bid at the end of the auction period wins, subject to any reserve price set by the seller. Sellers may schedule an auction to begin at a future date and time; the listing is not visible to buyers and cannot receive bids until it starts. Winning bidders are obligated to complete payment for the item. Bidding requires a linked bank account, and the winning bid plus shipping is charged to it automatically when the auction ends.

Offers. On Buy now listings that accept offers, a buyer may make a binding offer, which requires a linked bank account. The seller has 24 hours to accept or decline; if they don’t, the offer expires. If the seller accepts, the order is placed and the offer amount plus shipping (never more than the shipping estimate shown with the offer) is charged to the buyer’s linked bank account right away. A buyer may withdraw an offer at any time before the seller answers. An offer also closes if the item sells to someone else.

6. Fees

coinpost does not currently charge sellers any fees: there are no listing fees, no fees for optional listing features, and no final value fee. Buyers pay the item price plus shipping, and there is no fee for paying by bank, for refunds or for seller payouts. Optional buyer memberships such as Premium are priced on our Fees page. Fees are subject to change with notice, and we will tell you before any new fee takes effect.

7. Payments & Payouts

Paying by bank. Purchases, accepted offers, auction wins and memberships are paid by ACH debit from a U.S. bank account in your name that you link to coinpost. coinpost does not accept cards and does not hold a balance for you. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Stripe, Inc. Bank accounts are linked through Stripe, either by signing in to your bank or by entering your account and routing numbers and confirming small test deposits; coinpost does not receive your bank login credentials. By linking a bank account you authorize coinpost, through Stripe, to debit it for each purchase you make on the Service, including auctions you win and offers a seller accepts, as described in the authorization shown when you link it. You can revoke this authorization by removing the bank account from your Payments page, as long as you have no open bids or offers. Stripe’s Privacy Policy describes how Stripe handles your bank information.

When payments clear. An order is placed as soon as you pay, and the item is reserved for you. Bank payments usually take about 4 business days to clear; the seller ships after your payment clears. If your bank declines or returns the payment, the order is cancelled and the item may be sold to someone else.

coinpost as the seller’s payment agent. Each seller appoints coinpost as its limited agent to receive payments from buyers on the seller’s behalf. When a buyer’s payment is received by coinpost (through Stripe), the buyer has paid the seller for that order, and the buyer’s payment obligation to the seller is satisfied even if coinpost later fails to pay the seller.

Seller payouts. To be paid, sellers set up a payouts account with Stripe (Stripe Connect) and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. The seller is paid the item price (shipping goes to coinpost, which provides the label) 24 hours after the order is delivered, as shown by carrier tracking or confirmed by the buyer. Stripe then sends the payout to the seller’s bank account. Payouts are held while a return is requested or approved, and until the seller has finished setting up payouts. If a refund is issued after the seller has been paid, for an approved return or a Buyer Protection claim, the refunded amount is taken back from the seller’s Stripe payouts account; if that account doesn’t have enough, the seller agrees to repay the difference.

Returned and disputed payments. If your bank returns a payment after it cleared, or you tell your bank a payment was unauthorized, we may pause payments from your account while we look into it, cancel affected orders that haven’t shipped, and ask you to repay any amount owed for items you received.

Limits and reviews. We may set or change limits, delay or decline a transfer, or ask for more information to protect you, other users and coinpost from fraud, or to comply with the law.

8. Shipping

Sellers are responsible for shipping purchased items within the handling time stated in their shop settings. coinpost provides a prepaid shipping label for each order through a third-party shipping provider, paid for from the shipping the buyer pays at checkout. Buyers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

9. Returns & Refunds

Each seller sets their own return policy (No Returns, or a 7-, 14-, or 30-day return window) in their Shop Settings, which applies to their listings. Buyers may request a return within that window through the app; the seller reviews and approves or denies the request. If a seller cancels an order before it ships, the buyer is refunded in full to the bank account they paid with (if the payment hasn’t cleared yet, it is refunded as soon as it does). When a return is approved and the item is received, the seller issues the refund through coinpost, in full or in part, to the buyer’s bank account. Refunds usually arrive within 5–10 business days. coinpost may also issue refunds under Buyer Protection.

10. Feedback & Ratings

Buyers and sellers may leave feedback about a completed transaction. Feedback must be honest and based on your actual experience.

11. Community Content & Conduct

The Service includes messaging between buyers and sellers and a social feed where you may post content, comment, and interact with other users. You're responsible for content you post and must not post anything unlawful, harassing, infringing, or misleading. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate this section.

12. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

13. Intellectual Property

coinpost and its logos, branding, and app design are owned by coinpost. You retain ownership of content you post (such as listing photos and descriptions) but grant coinpost a license to host, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Service.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. COINPOST DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY, GRADE, CONDITION, OR VALUE OF ANY ITEM LISTED, OR THAT ANY TRANSACTION WILL BE COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY. YOU TRANSACT WITH OTHER USERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, coinpost will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from transactions between users, including disputes over item condition, authenticity, or non-delivery.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we believe harms coinpost, our users, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll provide notice on the website or in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Butler County, Ohio, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
